When you start off at level one after choosing your class and creating your character in the Elder Scrolls Online, you’re dropped into the game’s huge, open world. What will you do? Where will you go? Can you handle PvP? All these possibilities swirl around your character and eventually coalesce as you undertake your adventure, but what if you want more control over your character’s destiny without having to play through the entire game once or twice to get the hang of things? This guide, The Elder Scrolls Online Leveling Guide from KillerGuides is just what I needed. In order to convey just how helpful this guide was, I’ll be briefly examining several different aspects of the guide.
First, since the guide is titled as a leveling guide we’ll examine that aspect. If you’re familiar with the Elder Scrolls series, you’re probably aware that in previous games you leveled up by using certain chosen skills. This time around there’s a more traditional experience based system. But there are several ways to earn experience and some are more efficient than others. Where are the best areas to grind for experience? Which quests and dungeons will best reward your efforts and which ones can be skipped? The information found in this guide, if you choose to follow it and have the time to devote to the game, can have you going from level one to fifty in about a week, regardless of your experience in MMO’s or RPGs.
The guide doesn’t stop there, however. There’s a lot of detailed supporting information that you’ll need as well. For instance, let’s say you’re into PvP; and really, if you’re playing online you probably are. After you’re done playing through the game for its story you’ll probably want to build a PvP character from scratch. Learn what skills to employ, which builds work best in which situations and what class you’re the most comfortable with. Learn how to balance strengths and weaknesses to arrive at the right mix for your play style.
On the subject of PvP, if you already have a character that you’re attached to that isn’t performing as well as you’d like, you may need to make some changes to be able to compete on a level playing field. Maybe you need to switch out some skills or replace your weapons and armor. Or maybe your loadout is fine but your tactics need some work. In my case for instance, I tend to get attached to my existing equipment and am reluctant to swap it out unless it provides across the board (including visual) improvement. This is not always the best approach.
Elder Scrolls Online offers a deep crafting system with an abundance of crafting materials available. If you’ve never played the game before it can be a little confusing at first. If you’re an expert the guide offers detailed instructions on the where and how’s of crafting the items and equipment you need. If you’re new to the idea or genre, it’ll hold your hand through the basics until you’re at that level.
Just like the real world, the world of Elder Scrolls Online runs on gold, and as the saying goes, “He who has the gold makes the rules.” In this case, more specifically, he who has the gold rules, at least where it comes to monsters, dungeons and PvP. High level armor and weaponry, if you have to buy it, tends to be very expensive and to be able to kit out your endgame character you’ll need to have amassed a fortune. This guide will tell you how and where to do that as quickly and efficiently as possible.
That isn’t all this guide offers, but I think I’ve made the case that The Elder Scrolls Online Leveling Guide is more than just suggestions on how to level up. If this were a general guide I’d like to see more depth in some of the other areas that don’t specifically deal with leveling; but then again this is specifically a leveling guide, so you’re actually getting far more than the title claims. Plus, it’s a great value for the amount of content packed into it. Finally, it comes in .pdf format so you don’t have to worry about shipping time and charges and you get to be green by saving trees and you get free updates as well. What’s not to love?
